GarryVolchara [31]
2x + 2y + 1z = -5 ⇒ 2x + 2y + 1z = -5 ⇒ 4x + 4y + 2z = -10
3x + 4y + 2z =  0 ⇒ 3x + 4y + 2z =  0 ⇒  3x + 4y + 2z =   0
1x + 3y + 2z =  1                                                        x = -10

2x + 2y + 1z = -5
3x + 4y + 2z =  0 ⇒ 3x + 4y + 2z = 0
1x + 3y + 2z =  1 ⇒ 1x + 3y + 2z = 1
                                          2x + y = -1

      2x + y = -1
2(-10) + y = -1
    -20 + y = -1
  + 20       + 20
             y = 19

           2x + 2y + z = -5
2(-10) + 2(19) + z = -5
         -20 + 38 + z = -5
                  18 + z = -5
                - 18       - 18
                          z = -23
                (x, y, z) = (-10, 19, -23)

Archy [21]
5 feet = 60 inches
4 1/2 inches = 1 hour
60 inches = 1 ÷ 4 1/2 x 60
= 13 1/3 hours

If the snow keeps accumulating, it would take 13 1/3 hours for 5 feet of snow to accumulate.
