Answer:

The poetic device used by the speaker in the line, "Since Bacchus, Satan, and the Hangman" is letter A. allusion.

Explanation:

An allusion is a figure of speech in which a reference is made to something or someone, but in an indirect manner. For instance calling someone a Judas is an allusion to the biblical figure who betrayed Jesus Christ. The speaker won't explain who Judas is, he simply mentions him trusting the audience will grasp the reason behind - which would be to call someone a traitor.

That is precisely what we have in the poem “The King Sends Three Cats to Guinevere”, by Marjorie Allen Seiffert. The speaker of the poem would be King Arthur himself, addressing Guinevere after being betrayed by her. He alludes to three figures, Bacchus, Satan, and the Hagman and, in an ironic manner, mentions the fact that they belong to a mythology different than the one he belongs to. However, since this is an allusion, he does not explain who they are.

To confirm your understanding, write a summary of “Little Things Are Big.”
algol13

Answer:

The reflective essay,"Little Things Are Big", by Jesus Colon, illustrates how sudden changes can impact someone's life by realizing oneself through their actions, in this case, on a subway. In the text, the main character sees a white woman, struggling, with many children, and ends up not helping. He later thinks over his decisions, and decides what he did was wrong, and pledges to do anything to help anyone from that moment on.

What is the lesson the monkey king learned in american born chinese
stealth61 [152]

Monkey has a raging inferiority complex. If you're thinking Monkey's kind of impossible to deal with, you're not alone. No wonder Tze-Yo-Tzuh thinks the most fitting lesson for Monkey is to be buried under something as stubborn and hard as he is: a mountain made of rock.

                          TERMS FOR CONDUCTED TOURS

I, Varsha Malhotra, the head girl of the above named school wish to contact you to make inquiries about the terms of a tour we are going to embark on. Our history teacher is organizing a tour for us in-order to show us historical sites at Agra, Jaipur and Chandigarh.

Based on this fact, I would like to know about the terms of service for the tour we are to be embarked on in-order to plan ourselves. How much would it take to convey 60 students to those places using your company's deluxe bus? The fare for the trip, boarding? And, also, do you have lodging in those places and how much does it cost per night for each person?

Additionally, we would like to know the total time the trip will take as well as the mode of payment for the trip? Do your company accept cash or can we pay through cheque?

Thank you as I look forward to your reply to my questions.

Yours sincerely,

Varsha Malhotra.
