Answer: division of Germany among Allied Powers (USA, UK, France, USSR).

Explanation: apart from this division of Berlin was divided (among same powers) as well. So-called Western Berlin was composed of three zones (Amerian, British and French) whereas Eastern Berlin was administered by Soviet Union.
