Nationalism is basically the love of a country with all of its inhabitants.

It is the feeling of oneness and common awareness that is seen in individuals who live in that common area or territory and share a common history, language, culture and values. They consider themselves as 'One Nation'.

What is babylonian society structured around?
pshichka [43]
King => Nobles => Free citizens => Soldiers/Civil Service => Slaves.

Three main social classes included the awilu (free persons), the wardu (slaves), and the mushkenu (free persons of low estate).

As a punishment, free persons could be forced into slavery. Parents of children could also be sold into slavery.

Babylonians based the structure of their society around their own religious beliefs and how they will prosper. They were ruthless people who conquered many nations through force. Some accounts even state that the Babylonians would kill entire civilizations, even if the civilization had surrendered without any sort of resistance.

What describes the idea that it was gods plan for the united states to expand across the continent
Readme [11.4K]
I think that what you're looking for is Manifest Destiny, the idea that it was natural, required and proper of the settlers to expand across the continent.

Some  connected this to God (that is, that God devised this expansion as His plan), but God is not always necessarily connected to this idea.
