The Albany Plan of Union:
Advantages: close communication in government, easier to provide for people, provided defense against the French in the French and Indian War.
Disadvantages: Consolidation of power, stronger government, stricter authority, also central taxing from the colonist side (colonists HIGHLY opposed taxation.)

Answer:

A advantage of Albany Plan was that union would enforce colonies into one, transforming in a powerful unified arm for defence in wars and other important issues.

A disadvantage of Albany Plan was the individual interests, overall, around the tax collecting. They were already debating who will take this functions, which meant that union were not possible. In words of  Benjamin Franklin: <em>"The colonial assemblies and most of the people were narrowly provincial in outlook, mutually jealous, and suspicious of any central taxing authority."</em>
