Chinua Achebe is the author of “Things Fall Apart” in which he tells the story of Okonkwo, a proud, traditional man living in a village in Nigeria. Okonkwo is strong and cannot see his father Unoka being weak and in debt . He hates his father for being so weak.

I think it is the second option: Okonkwo was ashamed of his farther. I remember how okonkwo wanted to be the opposite of his farther and not to be lazy.
