Answer – True

It is true that the higher the Blood Alcohol Level (BAL), the higher the risk of a fatal crash. In all states in the U.S, it is illegal to drive your car when your BAL is 0.1 or higher. A Blood Alcohol Level of 0.1 means that the ratio of alcohol in the blood is 1/1000.

The statement is true. The higher the BAL, the higher the risk of a fatal crash.

EXPLANATION:

BAL stands for Blood Alcohol Level It shows the alcohol level on the human body. BAL is also known as Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC). BAL is commonly represented in the percentages. It is calculated by counting how many milligrams of ethanol, which is represented in 100 ml of blood. As an example, 10 BAL means that 1/10 of 1% of human total blood contains alcohol. The higher the BAL, the more amount of alcohol in the human body.

As we know, alcohol becomes one major problem of the fatal crash. People who drive while they are drunk, commit in a serious car accident. Thus, there is a law in BAC and driving. In most countries, the BAC limit for drivers is 0.10% and in the USA the BAC limit is 0.08%. The more alcohol drunk by the drivers, the higher the BAC.

Younger drivers, especially males ages 16-20, become the age group with the most risk of a fatal crash accident. The percentage of a fatal crash accident on young drivers when they drive while drunk is 52%. Meanwhile, the percentage of a fatal crash accident on the older drivers ages 35 and older is only 11%. Thus, if we are young drivers, we have to be more careful about driving. Avoid drinking alcohol if we have to drive.
