Because it was the first (the WORD'S first) religion based on one God, who sent down set laws about wrongs and rights. Which helped shape the religions of Christianity and Islam, as well as modern ideas about law and human rights.

I based this off of the chapter Judaism (in page 170, I assume. Assuming because page chapters online vary from the actual textbook.) on a website http://www.slideshare.net/catherineduffy/judaism-43191213. You can find the 'answer' in the first paragraph. You just have to read and paraphrase it how you see it, I suppose.

Answer:

Basically, it helped in everything. Ancient Israelites are the hebrews, and their culture was defined by their religion. All their costumes, morality and ethic, was defined by their believes. They arrange as a society when they received the Ten Commandments, given by God to have order and moral laws, to guide their behaviour.

Another event, that shaped the culture and their organisation as society was the 70 elders that Moises named to help him to rule, this meant the first legislative system.

What did the escape of shah reza pahlavi lead to in Iran
Roman55 [17]

Shah Reza Pahlavi was a brutal dictator, but his departure did not mean Iran was more free. The Shah was pro-west, and would brutally crack down on any dissent. He was replaced by Ayatollah Khomeini, who helped to install a religous dictatorship in Iran. Everything that the Shah had stood for --- including the western world --- was now seen with open contempt by the government.
