The fish is from the ocean which is a hypertonic solution (high concentration of salt). The fish tank has freshwater which is a hypotonic solution (low salt concentration). The fish has a high concentration of salt compared to the fresh water so it sucks in water until its cells burst (hypotonic)

PLEASE HELP!
Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

During ripening, there is an increase in the breakdown of starch inside the fruit. The corresponding increase in the number of simple sugars which taste sweet, such as sucrose, glucose, and fructose. This process is particularly obvious in bananas as they ripen.

Explanation:

Light shining on fruit could increase the temperature in that fruit's path. If the light results in a favorable temperature, the fruit ripens.

Why is RNA required to make proteins?
Nostrana [21]
Ribosomal RNA (rRNA) associates with a set of proteins to form ribosomes. These complex structures, which physically move along an mRNA molecule, catalyze the assembly of amino acids into protein chains. They also bind tRNAs and various accessory molecules necessary for protein synthesis.

For which genes is this individual heterozygous??
likoan [24]

Answer:

If they are different, the organism is heterozygous at that locus. If one allele is missing, it is hemizygous, and, if both alleles are missing, it is nullizygous. The DNA sequence of a gene often varies from one individual to another. Those variations are called alleles.
