Was dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki a necessary and acceptable measure to end the war? Please write about a p
pav-90 [236]
I don't think dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was either necessary or acceptable. Japan was already weakened by the war and it was obvious that it wouldn't be able to fight much more. That's why America had other options to choose from in order to end the war other than the atomic bomb. However, I don't think their dropping the atomic bomb had much to do with Japan - it was just a demonstration of the US power and a threat to other countries in the world not to mess with it - Japan just happened to be the guinea pig. The atomic bomb led to the deaths of more than 200,000 people in Japan, and to dire consequences in Hiroshima and Nagasaki which can be still felt today, over 70 years since the bombing happened.

What motivated Enrico Fermi? 4 -5 sentences.
KatRina [158]
Enrich fermi was a scientist and a physicist .He discovered nuclear fission and he led several tests releated to the use of nuclear power and his work was mostly on induced radioactivity by neutron bombardment and the discovery of transuranic elements or a nuclear reactor .His new find followed Marie Curies and Joliot’s discovery of artificial radioactivity .At age 14 he lost his brother from a minor throat surgery accident. In order to escape the pain of losing his brother ,Fermi buried himself in books about physics that fascinated him and soon got him into college with an entrance exam essay that was judged worthy of a doctorates degree .So you could say that his own loss of his brother motivated him to start making discoveries of his own in physics and on experimenting with neutrons. Hope this helped !
