Regularly playing a sport can lead to improved self-esteem because you become better at a sport through improving your skills in a particular field. 1: Use a smaller weight and see how many reps you can get. Each time you test yourself, use the same weight. You should progressively be able to complete more reps as you get stronger. It is easy to replicate and will show comprehensible results. This type of test pairs well with bodyweight exercises like pushups.
2: Push yourself to lift heavier weights. As you grow stronger, you will be able to lift more. This can be dangerous without a spotting partner, but can also be very beneficial if done correctly.
