Answer:

The correct answer is "1%".

Explanation:

The photosynthetic efficiency is defined as the the fraction of light energy that is converted into chemical energy during photosynthesis. A typical plant have an approximate photosynthetic efficiency of 1%. The calculus is given the approximate energy contained in the photons of light and the energy contained in the molecules synthesized during photosynthesis.

Answer: 1%

Explanation.

Generally Light energy  needed by plants for photosynthesis occurs at wavelengths not ideal  for mechanisms of photosynthesis. Large amount of light  energy(  about 99%) is reflected from the leaf surfaces, and other parts, while .some are absorbed by   clouds, water vapour,.aquatic bodies . Some quantity are  is  converted to heat energy. Therefore only fractions(about 1 % of available energy from the initial light energy   is converted to chemical energy for the process of photosynthesis. Thus the approximate efficiency of the light energy conversion to chemical energy in photosynthesis is 1%. That is the quantity of usable energy  as chemical energy from the abundant light energy  absorbed by the photosystems.
