The Venezuelan War of Independence happened from 1810 to 1823 where Venezuela gained its independence from the Spanish Empire. This war didn't technically result in independence for Venezuela, but instead resulted in the independence of Gran Colombia which comprised what is currently Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, and Ecuador. A major reason the war started was the revolutionaries being encouraged to fight because of the troubles that Spain was having with the Napoleonic Wars, fighting France.</span>
The Himalayan mountain range and Tibetan plateau have formed as a result of the collision between the Indian Plate and Eurasian Plate which began 50 million years ago and continues today.
