Felt is a textile stuff that is fabricated by matting, consolidating and mangling threads together. Felt can be formed of natural threads so as wool or mammal fur, or of artificial fibers such as petroleum-based acrylic or acrylonitrile or wood pulp-based rayon. Blended threads are similarly popular.
