From today's perspective the works of art made in ancient Egypt are quite different from what we are used to in art. The pictures could look very formal, and also blocky. Some could argue they looked abstract in a way as well. They were also static. When we compare them to later Rennaisance art found in Europe, the style is strikingly different. Hieroglyphs (the way ancient Egyptians wrote) also accompanied pictures and images of all kinds very often and were sometimes precisely carved as an artwork of their own.
The name of the site is: Hoyo Negr*o
The site is located in the underwater cave of Mexican Yucatan Pennisula. In that site, scientists have found the what they considered as the oldest skeleton in America (which is around 10,000 - 12,000 years old)
In spanish, the site is translated as "the black hole" because it's located in a very scary dark pit.

Building through the Sierra Nevada Mountains was very difficult and dangerous. Temperatures were freezing during the winter and in one year alone there were 44 storms.There was the great danger of an avalanche for the men working through 18 feet of snow and camping on the tunnels beneath it. Creating tunnels through the mountains required blasting with nitroglycerin. Advancing at one foot of mountain at a time, a total of 11 tunnels was created.
