ediately, a number of organizations begin protesting that this license plate is a violation of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Determine whether you agree or disagree with the state’s action. Set aside your personal opinions and try to reach the best conclusion using solid evidence. (Remember) The first amendment prevents the government from infringing on the rights of constituents by creating laws that determine which religion should be practiced; what is deemed appropriate and inappropriate speech; freedom of the press; the right to assemble peaceably; and the right to set correct any grievances with the government. If the state allows it to pass, how can the citizens make it palatable for all the state residents?
