Answer: In her dream, Calpurnia saw a statue of her husband, Caesar, bleeding. She also saw men bathing in the statue's blood and smiling while doing so.

Caesar ignores the signs, showing his bravery. He dies by the hands of his friends.

Explanation:

In this tragedy by Shakespeare, Roman Emperor Julius Caesar falls victim to conspirators. He is killed by the very men he loved and trusted.

Before such tragic end, Caesar's wife Calpurnia has a precognitive dream and asks her husband not to leave the house. Caesar shows her no fear of dying. He says the will of the gods cannot be avoided, meaning that, if he has to die, he shall die, no matter what he does. However, Caesar did order a sacrifice to attract good fortune, while his wife was screaming in her dream. He finds out later that the beast that was killed did not have a heart. That should be an ominous sign, but Caesar chooses to interpret it as his lack of courage (heart) by staying home. Thus, he ignores the premonitions and ends up brutally stabbed by the conspirators.

How poetry encourages social activism?
TiliK225 [7]

Answer: Poetry on its own, from writing to reading it, is inherently activist. Poetry gives voice to many who have been silenced by society and when their voices are published, they serve as a protest to the oppression and discrimination they have faced in the literary world. ... Poetry also calls on people to take up action.
