Tetris is so popular since 1984 and was designed by <span>Alexey Pajitnov. It's so popular due to people getting "Hooked" to the game. It deals with shapes and fitting them all together. After you lose its supposed to make you try again and again.</span>

1. It was the first game to come to the US from the USSR (Russia) So that was exciting.
2. The colors and music were a newer concept in the US, as video games were only introduced around 10 years before.
