2) south

The observers are on the opposite side of the sun, so they are seeing stars that were previously obscured by the sun's light.
Explanation:
Objects in space are constantly moving. The moon is orbiting the Earth, which in turn is orbiting the sun, which is orbiting the center of the Milky Way galaxy. As such, our perspective of the universe is always changing.
At any given time we can see about half of the sky. The Earth blocks the other half. As the Earth rotates, however, that view of the sky changes. For someone standing on the equator, one full rotation of the Earth will show the entire celestial sphere. For someone standing on the north pole, however, the visible portion of the sky will only appear to rotate. New York is somewhere in between, so the south part of the sky will change and the north part will always be visible.

Why is Europe often considered seprate from asia?
Bond [772]

Answer:

The boundary between Europe and Asia is bizarre among mainland boundaries since of its to a great extent mountain-and-river-based characteristics north and east of the Black Ocean.

Europe is considered a separate continent from Asia because of its distinct historical, cultural and political identity, rather than any clear geographical demarcation.

A large part of Turkey lies in Asia, however, culturally and politically, it has been closer to Europe and therefore sees itself as a European country.

1 m = 1 billion years
1 cm
years
1 mm
years
aalyn [17]

Answer:so if 4.6M = 4.6 billion years, then 1m = 1billion years so...

1m = billion years

1cm= 1000 million years

1mm= 1million years.

Explanation: you can solve this by doing conversion or write down each years value. Since Cm is lower than M, so we know it will be in the thousands of millions. Since mm is lower than cm it will be in the one’s place.

Describe the multi-layered physical/vertical structure of California kelp forests, either in general or in one part of the state
____ [38]
The architecture of a kelp forest depends on its physical structure, which influences the species that occupy the forests. Kelp forests usually include three types of kelp and two types of algae:

1. Prostrate kelps lie near and along the sea floor and form the lowest level of kelps

2. Stipitate kelps are above the prostrate kelps upto a few meters above the seafloor.

3. The Canopy kelps include the largest species of kelp and often extends to the top of the ocean surface.

4. Coralline algae directly and often extensively cover geologic substrate i.e the sea floor.

5. The benthic assemblage is composed of other algal species.
