The best answer would be c.he controlled through terror and intimidation.

Tree elements were important to the maintenance of Stalin's dictatorship: Censorship and propaganda; Purges and Terror.  In August 1936, the Great Purge was launched; other show trials took place in 1937 and 1938. The Great Purge was undertaken by the NKVD (secret police), led by Genrikh Yagoda. He was replaced later in 1936 by Nikolai Ezhov, whose more extreme methods began a Great Terror. In 1937, this spread to include a purge of the officer corps of the armed forces, as well as of Communist Party officials. Once started, the Great Purge developed a momentum of its own. In the regions away from Moscow, local party bosses used it to further their own positions and there is evidence to suggest that ordinary people saw the punishment of middle-class experts as part of a social revolution that would give them better jobs. As a result of the Great Purge, several million people were arrested and large numbers were executed or sent to the Gulag.

WILL GIVE BRAINLEST TO THE PERSON WHO ANSWERS IT THE BEST!!! Please write from a viewpoint of a hurricane before, during and aft
Katen [24]
I begin to develop over warm and calm waters, the wind is still and my funnel begins to form. I become a category 1 hurricane. Soon after, I begin to make my way towards land, in this case it would be Florida. I begin to develop into a much more powerful category 3 hurricane from the amount of warm waters I cross providing me with more energy. I make landfall and I'm now a category 4 hurricane, I begin to rip and tear through the land and the homes that stand before me. I cause havoc and kill many. But after all the destruction, I begin to dissolve into a weaker tropical storm. There soon after, I dissipate.

How do the 10th and the 14th amendments balance each other?
Mama L [17]

Answer:

The correct answer is C. The 10th Amendment limits the federal government's reach, and the 14th limits the state governments' reach.

Explanation:

Both the Tenth Amendment and the Fourteenth Amendment are an integral part of the Constitution of the United States in its operative face, as they limit the federal and state governments in the exercise of their functions.

Thus, on the one hand, the Tenth Amendment establishes that the federal government may only exercise the rights and powers that have been expressly delegated to it by the States, which are ultimately the originators of sovereignty. Therefore, the federal government must respect the prerogatives of the States if they were not assigned to it.

In turn, the Fourteenth Amendment operates in the opposite way, establishing the Equal Protection Clause, which establishes that no state may discriminate or differentiate the citizens of the nation according to whether they are citizens of their state or not, with which it applies the protective criterion of the federal government to all states.
