B. Many of them died during the migration.

Explanation:

The Trail of Tears was the walk the Native Americans did after being forced from their land by the United States government.

The U.S. government wanted to expand, but Native Americans were living in the land they wanted to expand into, so decided to move them to present day Oklahoma, where they were not planning on doing anything with quite yet.

The Indian Removal Act was officially passed in 1830, which finally made it so the Natives had to leave or they would be forcefully thrown out. They did not want to leave and some even tried to revolt, but it was no use, as they did not have the resources or man power against the United States government.

Since they did not leave while planned and had to be forced out of their homes, many were not properly prepared. They were forced to walk and be kept in camps along the way. Many ended up dying from diseases, starvation, or because of the weather. This walk is called the Trail of Tears, where thousands of Native Americans died.

How was apartheid practiced in south africa
timofeeve [1]

Apartheid was a system of institutionalised racial segregation that existed in South Africa and South West Africa (Namibia) from 1948 until the early 1990s. Apartheid was characterised by an authoritarian political culture based on baasskap (or white supremacy), which encouraged state repression of Black African, Coloured, and Asian South Africans for the benefit of the nation's minority white population. The economic legacy and social effects of apartheid continue to the present day.

Between 1987 and 1993, the National Party entered into bilateral negotiations with the African National Congress, the leading anti-apartheid political movement, for ending segregation and introducing majority rule. In 1990, prominent ANC figures such as Nelson Mandela were released from prison. Apartheid legislation was repealed on 17 June 1991, pending fully democratic, multiracial elections set for April 1994...

What family dynasty tried to hold the German Confederation together?
aksik [14]

German Confederation, organization of 39 German states, established by the Congress of Vienna in 1815 to replace the destroyed Holy Roman Empire. It was a loose political association, formed for mutual defense, with no central executive or judiciary. Delegates met in a federal assembly dominated by Austria. Amid a growing call for reform and economic integration, conservative leaders, including Klemens, prince von Metternich, persuaded the confederation’s princes to pass the repressive Carlsbad Decrees (1819), and in the 1830s Metternich led the federal assembly in passing additional measures to crush liberalism and nationalism. The formation of the Zollverein (a German customs union) in 1834 and the Revolutions of 1848 undermined the confederation. It was dissolved with Prussia’s defeat of Austria in the Seven Weeks’ War (1866) and the establishment of the Prussian-dominated North German Confederation.

How did martin luther's view of the catholic church change in his lifetime?
Cerrena [4.2K]
Luther was devoted to the Catholic Church during his early years, growing up with a Catholic education. His feelings of guilt over his own sins drove him to enter a monastery, following a path the church provided for devoting oneself to God.

During his years as a monk, he was trained in theology to become a faculty member at the University of Wittenberg. The more he studied the Bible itself, the more he saw differences between biblical teaching and the policies and practices of the Catholic Church. He began to protest against some of what he saw wrong in the church -- not wanting to break away from the church, but to correct problems.

The higher officials of the Roman Catholic Church reacted violently against Luther, excommunicating him and wanting to silence him and even put him to death. This solidified Luther's conviction that the Catholic Church was wrong, and he became more and more antagonistic against the officialdom of the Roman Church. He went as far as to declare the office of the pope as the Antichrist.
