Number of adult tickets = 75

Number of student tickets = 175

Solution:

Let x represents the number of adult tickets and

y represents the number of student tickets.

Total number of tickets sold = 250

⇒ x + y = 250 – – – – (1)

Cost of adult ticket = $15

Cost of student ticket = $5

Total cost of collection = $2000

15x + 5y = 2000 – – – – (2)

Multiply equation (1) by 5

⇒ (1) × 5  5x + 5y = 1250 – – – – (3)

Subtract equation (3) from equation (2), we get

15x + 5y – 5x – 5y = 2000 – 1250

⇒ 10x = 750

⇒ x = 75

Substitute x = 75 in equation (1), we get

⇒ 75 + y = 250

⇒ y = 250 – 75

⇒ y = 175

Number of adult tickets = 75

Number of student tickets = 175

FIND THE RATE <br><br> PLSSSS HELPP ASSPPPP!!!!
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

The rate is 13. Which also means for every tree there are 13 apples

Simple division☺ You divide the top by the bottom. 26 apples divided by two tree trees is 13 apples per tree. 39 apples divided by three trees is 13 apples per tree. See? There is a pattern. 130 apples divided by 10 trees is once again 13 apples per tree

8y-2d=0 5y+4d=26 1/4
Anit [1.1K]

Answer:

y = 1

d = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

8y - 2d = 0 ---------------(I)

5y + 4d = 26 1/4

5y + 4d =  105/4  ------------------(II)

(I)*2      16y  - 4d = 0

(II)          <u>5y + 4d = 105/4</u>      {add (I) &(II)}

             21y        = 105/4

y = \frac{105}{5*21}\\\\y=\frac{105}{105}\\\\y = 1

Substitute y =1 in equation (I)

8*1 - 2d = 0

8 - 2d = 0

   -2d = -8

      d = -8/-2

d = 4

Solve the equation.<br><br>-4 (y - 2) = 12<br><br>y = ?
inna [77]
First you distribute what’s outside the parentheses (the -4)

-4•4= -4y
-4•-2= 8

New equation: -4y+8=12

Now you solve like a normal equation
12-8 is 4

New equation: -4y=4

Now divide

In trapezoid ABCD, find m∠A if m∠B= 25°, m∠C = 155° and m∠ D= 117°.
telo118 [61]
Hello there! A trapezoid is a quadrilateral, and the angles of a quadrilateral have a sum of 360°. We don't know the angle measurement for A, so let's start off by adding the measurements of the other angles together. 117 + 155 + 25 is 297. Now, we subtract that number from 360 to find the angle measurement. 360 - 297 is 63. There. The measurement of angle A is 63°.
