The battle was held between Mexico and the Texas Republic in 1836. In the battle, Santa Anna general of Mexico and his army were defeated by the Republic of Texas army.

Santa Anna signed in two treaties called the Public and Secret treaty. But any of the treaties was officially accepted by Mexico since Anna signed these treaties as a prisoner. The Public treaty consisted of 10 articles that had the conclusion of bitterness between two governments. Since the Public Treaty was not ratified by Mexico the Secret Treaty terms and details were not announced.
