Without rainforests, we won't be able to make anymore medicine because plants in the rainforest are being studied for new types of medicine. Another reason is that all the animals there will die and have no habitat, also the rainforests supply a vital amount of oxygen to the planet and without it every oxygen breathing creature would die, and trees take carbon dioxcide out of the air and so there is more room for oxygen.
