Also, social reforms were required and they believed that women having the right to vote was one of those reforms.

There would be no body to interpret laws, there would be a huge flaw in the checks and balance system of the governemt, and there would be issues in there being no difference in those who catch criminals and those who judge guilt (IE no one would decide if the guilty party was rightfully arrested, etc)
