Maria's mother is a lawyer and her father is a medic. In Maria's family there are only three people: her father, her mother, and her. Maria doesn't have siblings. Her father's name is John and her mother's name is Anita. John is sometimes strict, but sometimes funny. Anita is very sympathetic.
At their home, their is always a visitor because Maria's parents have a lot of friends. They have many American friends, but also Latin American and Spanish friends.
Maria's parents don't speak Spanish. They only speak English. When Enrique is visiting their home, he speaks English with Maria's parents. When he is with Maria, he speaks both English and Spanish.
