How are a common denominator and a common multiple alike?
IrinaVladis [17]
First I need to say that the common multiple is when two or more numbers meet up at the same point like 5 and 3 meeting up at 15. The common denominator works almost exactly the same way. It involve two fractions' denominators meeting up like 1/5 and 1/3 meeting up at ?/15 with ? being what the numerator would be (like 1/5 becoming 3/15 because 5 x 3= 15 and you must do so to the numerator so 1 x 3=3. 3/15). So they are alike in the way that they both involve two or more numbers' multiples meeting up, and the common multiple is basically used to find the common denominator.

Select the correct answer.
luda_lava [24]

Answer:

C. People should only have what they really need.

This is the central idea of the passage. So the author would most like agree with this sentence.

Starting a paragraph with tea is just a way to introduce to audience with author's opinion and to make the passage story like and engaging. With this start author's opinion becomes more relevant. The guest's expression "Wow! Even the mugs are twice the size we have back home," triggers author's realization that he has many extra things in his life. At first it starts with overstocked clothes in his walk-in closet. Then he also realizes that he like many of his peers has become wasteful. So a realization of being wasteful and its regret are the main ideas with which author would most likely agree.
