Basically physical and chemical  weathering (do not confuse with erosion, which involves movement) contribute to the destruction of mineral forms. In this case it breaks down the rocks, minerals and soils, creating slopes and hills. It may be caused by (any form of) water, wind, gravity, waves or sunlight.

Why do you think that people disagreed about the shape of the Earth?
faust18 [17]
There are a couple of answers to this:

A: A lot of people back then were heavily Catholic, the Catholic church claimed that the Earth was flat, while others believed the Earth was round.

B: Back then, obviously they didn't have airplanes or satellites, thus people believed the Earth was flat. The reasoning of this is because, if you were to look outside right now, the Earth does look like it could be flat. (that is because you have to be at a certain level of elevation to see the curvature of the Earth). Eventually though, people started reasoning and came to the conclusion the Earth was round. (They were proven right when aerospace technology came around.)

Explain why acid precipitation is a source of international conflict and why international cooperation is necessary to resolve t
Nadya [2.5K]
Is a source of international conflict because, as it falls downwind, the area in which it accumulated is not necessarily the area that will be damaged. So countries must work together to reduce the problem because they are damaging one another's environments.
