In the last year of the war, the US hade cryptographers who work to deciphere Japanese code messages. It is important to know that Japanese code and German code wheren't the same, they were easier to decipher, because of this the U.S. was able to understand 90,000 words.

Thanks to this, the US was able to know Japanese plans and defend themselves for any Japanese attack before they could even strike.

BlackZzzverrR [31]

Some reasons were that Native Hawaiians were against U.S. annexation, and the controversy of how US marines used force against the Queen Liliuokalani of Hawaii (held her at gunpoint) and also the fact that President Grover Cleveland himself was against annexation.

Why did Germany declare war on Russia
Elena-2011 [213]

Your question is in reference to the beginnings of World War I.  The answer is:

<h2>Germany felt threatened because Russia mobilized its forces on Germany's eastern borders.</h2>

Explanation/context:

The systems of alliances and military plans which were put in place before World War I presupposed a major war between the countries which were tied together with alliances.  The Triple Entente had Britain, France and Russia as allies.  Germany was part of a group of allies in opposition to the Triple Entente.

So here's what happened to start the Great War (World War I).  When an Austrian prince and his wife were assassinated in Serbia, the Austrian Empire threatened the nation of Serbia with retaliatory action (even though the assassination was carried out by a terrorist group, not the Serbian government). Russia responded to Austria's threat, because Russia was bound to protect its Slavic ally, Serbia. Germany responded to the mobilization of Russian troops, and when Germany declared war on Russia in 1914, they implemented the Schlieffen Plan (drawn up by one of their generals), which called for them to go on attack vs. France.  That pulled France and Britain into the war immediately as well, and the war spread and became a global conflict.

What was the mining boom? what caused boom towns and ghost towns?
Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

see explanation below

Explanation:

The Mining Boom: 1879 – 1893 In 1879 the first prospectors arrived in what would soon become Aspen and determined the area contained large deposits of silver ore. For the next 14 years Aspen’s fortunes rose as it eventually produced 1/6th of the nation’s and 1/16th of the world’s silver. A town often becomes a ghost town because the economic activity that supported it has failed, or due to natural or human-caused disasters such as floods, prolonged droughts, government actions, uncontrolled lawlessness, war, pollution, or nuclear disasters. Boomtowns are typically extremely dependent on the single activity or resource that is causing the boom (e.g., one or more nearby mines, mills, or resorts), and when the resources are depleted or the resource economy undergoes a "bust" (e.g., catastrophic resource price collapse), boomtowns can often decrease in size as fast as they initially grew

All of the following features of pre-Islamic Arabia influenced the beliefs and practices of Islam except
SpyIntel [72]
As a muslim, I can positively say that Islam does have the pre-Islamic Arabian influences, such as loose clothing to prevent the body's curves from showing, not consuming alcohol or eating pork of obtaining animal's blood. However, there are practices that are different. Such as believing in one God, not worshipping any idol, object, or person. Believing God have no children or a wife, neither does he have any family. He is one and only, no one is like him. Not talking to a non-marram, or someone who's not your close family such as cousins, uncles, aunts, husband , or wife. Not taking intrest, since that's not your own earned money. Also praying five times a day and fasting in Ramadan. P,u'd giving as much charity as possible. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
