Georgia was one of the 13 Colonies that fought against Britain for America's Independence, but it was the last to join the cause.

Georgia was founded as a royal colony in 1752, it was the youngest royal colony and the one with more attachment to Britain, mostly because it was the colony with more British descendants and the third Royal Governor of Georgia James Wright led the colony to prosperity and extreme wealth, so he was loved by the people of Georgia, and they thought needed Britain to survive.

Georgia was mostly occupied by Loyalists (Colonists that remained loyal to Britain and did not want Independence, also known as Tories), and James Wright tried to prevent them turning into Patriots (The ones who wanted Independence from Britain, also known as Whigs).

When Britain started raising taxes and enforced their will, many began questioning if Independence from Britain would be the right decision.

After the Battle of Lexington and Concord a group of Georgian Patriots captured Governor James Wright and sent Patriot Lyman Hall to the Second Continental Congress and turning Georgia into a rebel colony fighting for Independence even though not everyone agreed.

Alike the Patriots, which were the majority of the people in the New England Colony, making the independence movement very popular in the early 1770s, Georgians also fiercely opposed British trade regulations, which was the main reason for the independence movement and ultimately the Revolutionary War (1775-83).

However, the number of Patriots was much smaller in Georgia than in other colonies because the colony had originally prospered under royal rule, and many Georgians, due to their geographical conditions, thought that they needed the protection of British troops against a possible Indian attack.

How was Japan's colonization of Asia similar to Europe's colonization of Africa? please answer its due today
masya89 [10]

The colonization that was performed by Japan and the European countries had multiple similarities. Both initially developed their industries and made them strong, and only after that started to colonize. The main reasons for the colonization of Africa by the Europeans and by Japan of Asia were to get lot of natural resources and raw materials, while also opening up new markets for their products. Both modernized their armies, made them strong, well trained, and large, so that they can easily conquer the desired territories. Another similarity was that both were very cruel toward the native population, killing, torturing, forcing them to work etc.
