Question

In the sentence "Quand je finis mes devoirs, je marche à la bibliothèque et cherche pour des livres," should I not include the word /pour/ since /chercher/ means TO LOOK FOR; hence, acting as a phrase, and just write "Quand je finis mes devoirs, je marche à la bibliothèque et cherche des livres"?

Quand je finis mes devoirs, je marche à la bibliothèque et cherche des livres.

Quand j'ai fini mes devoirs = it's better to use the "passé composé"

je vais à la bibliothèque = I walk to the library ( je vais à la bibliothèque. ==> the verbe "aller" is better than "marcher" in that sentence)

et je cherche des livres = grammatically correct  but  "chercher " = "look for" some books..  So I think you want to say "to look for some books"

pour trouver /choisir des livres. (to find OR to choose)

Maybe you could say de nouveaux livres ??? (some new books)

"Quand je finis mes devoirs, je marche "jusqu'à" la bibliothèque "pour aller chercher" des livres.

Or :

" Quand je finis mes devoirs, je marche (or "je vais") jusqu'à la bibliothèque "pour aller chercher (or "choisir") des livres.
