<em>Two features that are often found on smart watches are: </em>

<em>Fitness monitoring and Multiple time zones </em>

<em>Most smart watches has fitness monitoring such as: heartbeat monitoring - the watch can determine if the user has a normal or too rapid heart beats while he or she is wearing the watch and on his or her activities. Watches also has distance monitoring, like how many steps you did and how far did you run or walk today. </em>

<em>It has multiple time zones. Some watches are exported from different countries to different locations. Time and regions has different time zones that's why it is necessary. Sometimes, when you set a time zone, languages are automatic as well.</em>

Write a Python program string_functions.py that defines several functions. Each function re-implements Python's built-in string
grigory [225]

Answer:

def my_compare(str1, str2):

   mylist = sorted([str1, str2])

   if str1 == str2:

       return 0

   elif str1 == mylist[0]:

       return -1

   elif str1 == mylist[1]:

       return 1

def is_char_in(string, char):

   if char in string:

       return True

   return False

def is_char_not_in(string, char):

   if char not in string:

       return True

   return False

def my_count(string, char):

   return string.count(char)

def my_endswith(string, char):

   return string.endswith(char)

def my_find(string, char):

   if char in string:

       return string.index(char)

   else:

       return -1

def my_replace(string, char1, char2):

   lst = [i for i in string]

   print(lst)

   for i, v in enumerate(lst):

       if v==char1:

           lst[i] = char2

   return "".join(lst)

Explanation:

Above are defined functions similar to the string built-in functions in python. To use them, type in the function name and pass in the required arguments. Save the file name as "string_functions" with a ".py" file extension and use the functions in other files by importing all the function as "import string_functions" or import individual functions with "from string_function import 'function_name' ".

Discuss any five focus areas<br> for Green Computing you can concentrate on
BaLLatris [955]

Answer:

Five focus areas for Green Computing are:

  1. Environmental conditions
  2. Information technology (IT) systems
  3. Cooling systems
  4. Electrical systems
  5. Air management systems

Explanation:

Green computing refers to the art of managing very effectively information technology such that the current level of productivity is maintained or exceeded.

Many of the factors listed above are more typical to data centers.

Data centers are IT systems that consume lots of electricity whilst generating lots of heat.

Sustained over a long period of time, the heat generated will contribute to green-house gases as the cooling system that is required to keep the data houses cool are big.

Hence, the green computing protocol requires where possible, minimal electricity be expended in cooling the data warehouses.

Another suggestion that has been given is for systems and appliances to be shut down when not in use rather than being left on or on standby.

Cheers
