Why does Daisy hope her child will be a beautiful fool? She was trying to imply that the life of a woman is a happier one in ignorance. If her daughter is a "fool" then she will never have to suffer the harsh realities of the real world. Think of the old saying " Ignorance is bliss".

First of all, maybe look on the internet and do some research on gothic stuff. It could help you come up with something! My other idea is to maybe look at some drawings and pictures with a gothic vibe, maybe even read some examples of gothic stories to put you in the mood :)
“Welfare” is capitalized to put emphasis on that word. Since it is not a proper noun, its capitalization should stand out to the reader. This capitalization tells the reader that the welfare, or well-being, of the people is an important part of the Preamble.
