Answer:

volcanic activity

Explanation:

The formation of Iceland is remuntation millions of years. This volcanic island is part of the ocean dorsal that travels the Atlantic form north to south and under it is a hot point.

Iceland is a country in which geology takes a special role. Located in the northernmost part of the Atlantic Ocean, the island stands from the depths of the sea, reaching altitudes of up to 2,000 meters .

This Nordic country has more than 200 active volcanoes, a fairly high figure given its total area, and dozens of places with high geothermal activity. Iceland is the most volcanic country on the planet. This high density of volcanoes is due to the origin and formation of the island. Iceland is located in the North Atlantic and is part of the oceanic ridge that runs through the Atlantic Ocean from the south to the north through its central part.

Part of an immense underwater mountain range that rises from the ocean floor and that supposes the separation between the lithospheric plates on one side and another of the Atlantic. This separation that occurs in the ocean ridges entails a great volcanic activity, in these plate margins, ascending asthenic magma, which comes from depths of up to about 250 kilometers, in the vicinity of these large fractures.

The geology of Iceland is therefore marked by the divergence of the plates and the rise of magma at this point. This is one of the causes of volcanic and seismic activity. Thus, the separation of the North American plate and the Eurasian plate takes place on the island.

A radiation fog is most likely to develop when:_________
dangina [55]

Answer:

c. the sky is clear.

Explanation:

  • The radiation fog is formed when the land surface cools after the sunset in the conditions of the clear sky. Thus the cooling ground cools the air above it and as a result of this the conduction causes the air temperature to fall and hence it reaches the dew point and forms a fog.
