Separation of powers is 1 of the 7 principles of the U.S. Constitution that separates the powers of the government into 3 separate branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. This way, there isn't just one source of power ruling the country. Your shortened answer would be: it separates the U.S. government's powers into 3 branches: executive (president), legislative (Senate and House of Representatives), and judicial (supreme court and lower courts).

Answer:

The principle of separation of powers is reflected in the U.S. constitution by

Distributing their responsibilities and duties.

Balancing them based on theory.

Securing liberty under the frames of check and balances.

Explanation:

First of all, we need to understand that the division of powers is based on the theory of the separation of powers. It describes that the diverse government systems have to be trusted in the correct way by providing them enough duties, functions, and responsibilities to ensure their correct management. However, if they receive more power than the rest of the branches they could become corrupt. Therefore they have to work under different mechanisms to make sure they don't commit an abuse of authority.

Ugo [173]

I sure don't have time to write an essay! But the first one sounds alright.

One of the early Chinese civilizations was located between the two main rivers, (google them for more details) Anyways, unlike most of China, the plain between the two rivers is fertile, allowing the people to grow rice and other foods. Along with that, I am certain that they had mountains and deserts to the west. If they could be used against natural disasters (I doubt they'd come in west) it'd be helpful! Good day

Gnom [1K]
In my opinion I think presidents should have their health evaluated instead of just a age. The maximum age shouldn’t be just a age it should be if the person can still function and run everything properly despite being older. Although if I had to set a age i would say 85.

How did the south try to deny African American voting rights?
zaharov [31]
Southern governments implemented a series of devices that would stop African-American citizens from voting including:

1) Poll Taxes- This was a certain amount of money an individual had to pay in order to vote. Many African-Americans could not afford these taxes.

2) Grandfather Clauses- This was a law that essentially stated that you were only able to vote if your grandfather voted. When this was first implemented, many African-American citizens were slaves before or their family members were slaves.

3) Literacy tests- These near impossible tests were based on a person's ability to read and write. This was effective when first implemented because many African-Americans did not have formal schooling due to their status as slaves before the end of the Civil War.
