How to Round Numbers?

Decide which is the last digit to keep.

Leave it the same if the next digit is less than 5 (rounding down)

But increase it by 1 if the next digit is 5 or more (rounding up)
We have 4.5

If we want rounding to the whole, then we look at tenth. We have 5, therefore rounding up

4.5 ≈ 5

umka21 [38]

Answer:

A. √16

Step-by-step explanation:

A perfect square is any number that can be expressed as a product of an integer and itself. i.e. 4 can be represented as 2 × 2. Therefore, 4 is a perfect square.

From the options given, the only radical expression that has two perfect square is √16.

√16 consists of two perfect squares, which are 4 and 4.

4 can be expressed as 2 × 2.

Thus: √16 = √(2 × 2)(2 × 2).

Therefore, √16 consists of two perfect squares.

The sum of the consecutive numbers is 111. What is the smallest of the three numbers?
sammy [17]
Let
x = first consecutive number
x + 1 = second consecutive number
x + 2 = third consecutive number

The sum of these numbers are 111.
x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 111
3x = 111 - 1 - 2
3x = 108
x = 36

Therefore, the smallest number is 36 because other numbers are 37 and 38.
