The correct answer is "The same sum of money means different things to different people"

here we can see how he shows through examples how every person according to their kind of life would use this money in different ways to cover their lack of whatever they may need.

The other options are not correct because in the first one it is stated as a fact that you can not do much with money when in the excerpt are presented many valuable examples.

The second one says that people shouldn't worry about making money, information that was never mentioned in the excerpt

and option 3 says that money doesn't buy happiness when in the excerpt we can see how several examples talk about giving happy moments to people. it is not about buying happiness but you can sweep some worries and problems away.

Answer:

Explanation:

The most likely explanation of what happened in the scene before is that the boy's mother was killed by the husband and in a fight to stay alive she put up a fight. This fight created the loud crashes, but sadly she lost the fight as well as her life. We can infer this because Mrs. Owens says when her figure appears in the graveyard "..Freshly dead by the look of her."

Man Jack is most likely the man that killed the mother of the boy. He is looking for the boy so that he can "eliminate" him and hide the evidence and then leave town, also leaving no evidence of a crime, doing this so he get quickly leave town, not get caught, and if he does get found out he will be far away from the crime scene and inevitably become untraceable

I hope this helps you.

Answer: D To illustrate the apprehension and danger that the agents face.

Explanation:

This is based on the essay, "The Price of Freedom" by Noreen Riols. In it we learn about British agents who had to infiltrate France during the second world war. We also learn about radio operators and their short life expectancy of 6 weeks once they embark on their mission.

The essay told the story of a Jewish radio operator who as a Jew, faced even more danger in Nazi occupied Europe. The purpose of this was to show that the agents faced much danger when inflitrating France.
