Dear Tom,

It has been a long while. How are you and Elsie? How are the boys doing? I guess by now, they will be in school. I and Judy are fine and trying to cope with a new life and environment. My girls, Eloise and Lizzie seem to be coping just fine with the move. They love their new school and have long made new friends.

I ran into Jack last week at a seminar and he told me how difficult things have been for you in recent times especially after your firms recent layoffs. As we were reminiscing about old times and lamenting on how unfair life is, I told Jack a story. Please permit me to share it with you and hopefully you will learn one or two things from it as I did.

The man is named Jefferson. He married and immediately landed a prestigious job at PG laboratory. Within 10 years he grew to a managerial position. His family also grew to include 2 beautiful daughters. Life was rosy. But suddenly everything changed. First, the stock market crashed and most of his investments went with it. As he was reeling from that, his company started groaning from the general economic downturn in the country. There were talks of downsizing. On this fateful Monday, he was invited by the managing director and was informed that the firm will have to let him go. Jefferson's world collapsed. He just couldn't go home to break the news to his wife because a week before the wife had lost her job too. He just walked to a pub and drank himself to stupor. He had to be dropped off home by one of his colleagues who broke the news to his wife. He woke up the next morning to an unreal and bitter world. For 3 months, he searched in futility for a job. By the sixth month, he started despairing. He was ready to take just any odd job in other to pay for bills and escape the frequent bickering from his wife. Their marriage deteriorated that they decided to separate with the wife taking charge of the children. They had to let their house go because they couldn't continue to pay for the mortgage. For three years, Jefferson was an unhappy man who merely went through the motion of living. He even thought of ending his life but just couldn't go through with it. He worked as a janitor in an apartment building and on this day, he was as usual helping a man who lives in the building with some load. He commented on a piece of news item and a discussion ensued. The man commented on his manners and perception of events and asked why he is working as janitor instead of managing a unit in a firm. He explained that he was doing just that a few years back but lost his job. The man asked what his job role was and he explained. The man gave him a card and asked him to see him the next day which was his day off. He was reluctant and anxious at first but the next day, he summoned up courage and went to the address written on the card. When he got to the reception, he was immediately whisked away to the CEO's office. After a few questions were asked , he was asked if he would be ready to start the job as soon as possible. Did I tell you the firm he is to start work with. It is Apple and he is to start as a manager and with a 6 figure salary. He was dazed. He believed he was going to wake up and found out it was just a dream. Do you know the first thing he did when he realised that it was for real? He called his wife and went to see her immediately. He told his wife that he still loved her and will like them to start seeing a councellor. It took a lot of work to mend the marriage but today as I write, the family is back together, emotionally and financially.

Tom that is the story of my life before I knew you. Would you believe I went through all that in life? Well, I learnt these lessons. Do not give up and keep doing nice little things to everyone and cherish your family. Work on your differences. Forgive and forget. I am a happy man today. I believe things will change for the better for you. Just do not give up and keep your family close to your heart.

I'll like to hear from you soon. Please give my love to Elsie and the boys.

Best wishes

Andy

At The Beginning Of Act 3 Scene 1 In MACBETH, what Is Banquo wondering? A. If Macbeth will kill him B. If he will become a king
Marysya12 [62]

D. If Macbeth took the crown unjustly

In Banquo's lines he says, " I fear Thou played’st most foully for ’t." He is saying that he worries that Hamlet took the crown illegally. He then goes on to say that everything the witches said was true for Macbeth so hopefully it will be true of him. This eliminates option C. There is no mention of Macbeth killing him. He speaks of his children becoming king but not himself.
