The word conflict refers to a struggle, collision or disagreement between two forces that usually leads to one of the parts involved to fight against the opposing force and try to defeat it as it represents an obstacle or undesirable situation. Additionally, in literature conflicts, take place as the main character or characters need to struggle against someone or something such as another character (character vs. character), a natural element (character vs. nature), the character itself (character vs. self), among others. Considering this, in the case of Jorge and Ben, the type of conflict the character is experiencing is "character vs. character" conflict because the opposing force of Jorge is a person or character (Ben) rather than himself, nature or any other element.
