I'm not completely sure, but I know that Da Vinci was a scientist, he invented wings that were supposed to allow people to fly like a bird. They didn't work very well, however, that is not his only invention, just the one I remember th most.
This is called a "topic sentence." It's common for paragraphs to have the main idea be the first sentence, because this allows the author to set up the rest of the paragraph and explain things immediately after the topic sentence.
Maybe you could do something with the background so it doesn’t look so empty?
