In “Imagine" by John Lennon he uses phrases such as a “perfect world," “no religion, no heaven," and other phrases to relate his

idea of a utopia. Analyze the song for more phrases. In a paragraph, compare your viewpoints to John Lennon’s. Would his ideas be a utopia or dystopia for you? Write a paragraph expressing your argument for why Lennon’s song represents utopia or dystopia. Provide evidence and examples to explain why you feel the way you do. Also choose specific phrases from the song to support your answer.

The first step one can take is deciding whether you believe Lennons ideas describe a utopia or dystopia for you. Utopia means an imagined place where everything is perfect. Dystopia means a society that is frightening or undesired. Pick your opinion on what the song describes for you and then use a sentence which provides why you think this and also give evidence as to why his song describes your opinion.
hope this helps.

Choose a situation--either an experience you have had or one you have read about--and write about it from two different perspect
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

The situation described below occurred when I needed to have an injection in the eyelid.

Explanation:

I had a cyst on my right eyelid and I had to go to the doctor to resolve this, as the cyst was very large and was making it difficult for my eye to move.

Once there, the doctor said that this would be easy to be solved, I would only need to have an injection in the place where the cyst was located. At this point, I will narrate my experience from two different perspectives.

  1. The moment I heard that I was going to have an injection in the eyelid, I thought the doctor was being unfair in putting me through this torture and so much pain. I felt victimized and didn't want to believe I was going to go through this. I was so nervous that I thought of crying right there like a spoiled child. I didn't want to want to take the injection and I was assessing the situation from the perspective of not wanting to feel pain.
  2. However, after a while, I started looking at the situation from the perspective that this was a treatment that I needed to undergo in order to be cured. At that moment, I realized that the injection would not be the end of the world, it would be quick and provide relief to my eye, allowing me to be normal again. With this perspective I went to take my injection with courage and motivation.

The change in perspective made me face the situation with less stress and with an objective in mind, this made the situation more pleasant than I imagined, in addition to making me think with more rationality, responsibility and maturity.
