A check is a <u>payment mechanism or a payment order that is delivered in favor of a person or company to have it paid to a particular bank</u>. The check must contain many guidelines so that it can be paid as:
The name of the owner of the account from which the money will be withdrawn for payment.
The name of who will charge it.
The place and date on which it is written.
The total value to pay.
<u>The signature of the owner</u> of the account from which the money will be withdrawn for payment.
This last-mentioned guideline is extremely important and must be done with the handwriting of the person, or else it will not be valid.
