When you are analysing a source, it is helpful to compare what information it provides when compared with other sources. This helps you to more successfully evaluate your sources, especially in regards to their accuracy. (not sure if this is completely right)

Corroboration is the ability to compare information provided by two separate sources and find similarities between them.

When a second source provides the same or similar information to the first, the second source is considered to corroborate (e.g. support, or agree with) with the first.

Finding corroboration between sources strengthens your conclusions, especially when you are making a historical argument.

When choosing sources to corroborate, pick those that are deemed particularly reliable, which adds further certainty to your claims.

After world war 1, how did new theories about science differ from past ideas?
Paladinen [302]

World War 1 brought a series of technological advances that would change the way people live. For example, synthetic rubber was introduced and it dramatically changed the automotive industry. In medicine, the introduction of blood banks meant that it was now possible to store blood instead of having to directly transfer it from donor to recipient. Debridement, which is the removal of infected flesh in order to heal wounds, was also developed during this period.

This shifted the appliance of science into creations that would be used for mass consumption in order to improve the quality of living of people.

Why did the u.s try to control its a affairs Puerto rico
Svetllana [295]

Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States. The US government started to control Puerto Rico in 1898, when the Spanish American Civil war gave the US its control. However, Puerto Ricans struggled to obtain more democratic rights during many years. The US controls the island, but it doesn't interfere with local government policies. American interests on Puerto Rico are based on political as well as economic reasons. The US makes use of Puerto Rico ports and roads. Besides, it also trades sugar and tabacco. Furthermore, US tries to keep Puerto Rico under its control in order to maintain its presence in the Caribbean as well as protecting the Panama Canal.
