The pincipalities were small territories in Norten Asia that were ruled by Russian rulers and were under their influence, they were semi-independant territories or states that used to get together when it came to defend the territory, it wouldn´t be untill the 15th century that Ivan III unifyed all of the principalities under the Muscovite principalicity making it an empire.
