Answer:

sensory information related to sound

Explanation:

The passage depicts the way sound calls the attention of the character to the situation. The character did not know what he saw until hearing a sound that is not so loud. As much as the sound was covered up, the sound was still able to get his attention to the moving object, "the black mark". At the point the sound lost its relevance.

Note: If not for the sound and the character would not have paid attention to the moving object which depicts the relationship that exists between sound and Sensory information.

what does Martha mean when she says, "Oh, yes, suh. I’m a puffessor"? A She is an educator at a local university B She is a good
kozerog [31]

Answer:

D She proudly declares her belief in God

Explanation:

Option D is correct because Martha simply replied to the faith curist's question about her salvation. Therefore, Martha simply replied that she is a professor of the faith.

Below is an excerpt from the text:

The faith curist rose to go. “Well, we can look to have her out in a few days. Remember, my good woman, much depends upon you. You must try to keep your mind in a state of belief. Are you saved?”

"Oh, yes, suh. I’m a puffessor"? Martha said.

Martha was simply declaring her belief in God.

"The Faith Cure Man" is a short story by black novelist and poet, Paul Laurence Dunbar. The story centers on a poor mother whose daughter was sick and needed cure. The mother, Martha is willing to believe in whatever she sees that might cure her sick daughter.
