Since you have to make it into your own words, I'll try to tell you what the paragraph wants to say. If I may suggest, reading around the bolded text to see what they might be talking about as a whole may help you. :)

The children in poverty never really understood what poverty was as this was their way of life, lacking daily technology or accessories. Culturally deprived means lower-class, or peasant...therefore today this group of individuals that are poor would be considered as the lower-class. This class was often frowned upon and looked down to, which the conferences and books emphasize. Then I think the other is going back in time to explain that each of these poor people had something in common, and it was more relatable than ever. Hunger meaning they couldn't afford food, and ill-clad refers to how they dressed poorly. And then the author characterizes poverty as being in a cage, since poverty is something that is extremely difficult to fix, especially today. Finally, the author labels how confused they are that this exists, when they were created to thrive and succeed. He labeled this when he brought up the Flamingo, as it is meant to fly, just as humans exist to make differences and succeed, living life to their fullest, not be stuck in poverty.

Hopefully this helped. :)

Any ideas for this…?
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

Food companies aren't to blame for poor self-image and obesity in young people because there are many different food choice options and tons of representation for every type of person.

Although fast food is very popular and practically everywhere, there are specific stores and resturants (such as Whole Foods) where you can buy healthy food choices. There are even an abundance of great options in grocery stores. It's up to young people to be proactive and choose the right ones, not Food Companies.

Lastly, commercials are very diverse these days. There are different type of people and clothing for everyone to relate to, and as such with food, you have a choice of what to buy and what to see.
