K² + 13k + 30 = 0

This is a quadratic equation. Let's attempt solving it by factorization.

Coefficient of k² = 1, last term = 30

Multiply these two together 1*30 = 30

We think of two numbers that multiply to give 30 and add to give the middle term 13.

The two numbers are 3 and 10.

3*10 = 30,   3 + 10 = 13.

we replace the 13k with 3k + 10k

 k² + 13k + 30 = 0

k² + 3k + 10k + 30 = 0

k(k + 3) + 10(k + 3) = 0

(k + 3)(k + 10) = 0

(k + 3) = 0 or  (k + 10) = 0

k = 0 - 3  or  k = 0 - 10

k = -3, or -10

I hope this helps.

Why can't irrational numbers be whole numbers
meriva
Irrational numbers cannot be represented by a ratio of two integers.

All whole numbers, however, can. This can be done by placing the number over 1. For example 0/1, 34/1, 173635278/1.

The accompanying data on IQ for first-graders at auniversity lab school was introduced in Example 1.2.82 96 99 102 103 103 106 1
almond37 [142]

Answer:

Mean = 113.72

The estimator of 113.72 is point estimate used for the  conceptual population of all first-graders in this school

Step-by-step explanation:

Data provided in the question:

Data:

82 96 99 102 103 103 106 107 108 108 108 108 109 110 110 111 113 113 113 113 115 115 118 118 119 121 122 122 127 132 136 140 146

Number of data = 33

In the hint it is also given that the sum of the data value i.e ∑x = 3753

Now,

Point estimate of mean is given as;

Mean = \frac{\textup{Sum of all the data values}}{\textup{Total number of data value}}

or

⇒ Mean = \frac{\textup{3753}}{\textup{33}}

or

⇒ Mean = 113.72

Hence,

The estimator of 113.72 is point estimate used for the  conceptual population of all first-graders in this school

7. If csc 0 = 3, find the exact values of the five remaining trig functions. Your answer ANSWER ASAP
irina [24]

Answer: sin: \frac{1}{3} cos: \frac{\sqrt{8} }{3} tan: \frac{\sqrt{8} }{8} csc: 3 sec: \frac{3\sqrt{8} }{8} cot: \sqrt{8}

Step-by-step explanation: We know that csc is a reciprocal of sinθ so csc3 is sin 1/3. Then draw the right triangle HYP=3 OPP=1 ADJ= \sqrt{3x^{2} -1} =\sqrt{8}
