I'll use 24 as an example.
12.5=0.8x
In order to solve this, you have to get the x by itself. See how the x is being multiplied by 0.8? Well, in order to get rid of the 0.8, you have to the opposite thing: divide 0.8x by 0.8. Since 0.8 / 0.8 is 1, that gets the x by itself. BUT,in order to keep the equation right, you have to do the same thing to both sides of the equation. So, you divide 12.5 by 0.8 too, and you get x=15.625.

If you actually need the answers to all of them ( like for checking ) say so in my inbox.

A jury pool has 17 men and 18 women, from which 12 jurors will be selected. Assuming that each person is equally likely to be ch
Svetach [21]

Answer:

0.86

Step-by-step explanation:

To find this, we need to know the number of ways the jury can be picked overall, and then the number of ways 8 men and 4 women can be on the jury. The fraction of the two will be the probability.

The total number of ways the jury can be picked is the combination of a pool of 35 people and choosing 12 is; C(30,12) = 30!/((12!)(30 - 12)!)

= 86,493,225

We have gotten the number of ways the jury can be picked.

Now let's find how many ways can the jury consist of 8 men and 4 women.

For the men, there are 17 in the pool and we're picking 8:

Thus, C(17,8) = 17!/((8!)(17 - 8)!) = 24,310

For the men, there are 18 in the pool and we're picking 4:

Thus, C(18,4) = 18!/((4!)(18 - 4)!) = 3,060

Thus, number of men and women choices = 24,310 x 3060 = 74388600

So; probability = 74388600/86,493, 225 = 0.86

At a school, the ratio of boys to girls to teachers is 15:12:3. Find the number of boys in the school. Find the number of girls
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

15:12:3= 15 boys 12 girls and 3 teachers

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 5 boys in the School and 4 girls in the School and 1 teachers in the School

Because you got to try to look for a number that you can divide by all three numbers. And that number is 3. Because if you do 15 ÷ 3 =5, 12÷3=4, 3÷3=1
