There are several reasons why the government provides safety nets for their citizens.

One of the reasons is that it they are designed in such a way that they can deflect and absorb the energy of fallen person reducing the likelihood of being badly injured.

Another reason is that they reduce the distance a person can fall when correctly installed.

Lastly is that the safety nets help the laborers to work without restricting their movement.

It can therefore be concluded that the government is concerned with the safety of its citizens.
