A is definitely the best answer. Renewable resources are things like sunlight, wind, or tidal energy, which replace themselves without any human help.

B is wrong because renewable resources can definitely be harmed by humans. Sunlight can be blocked by pollution, for instance, and tides can be harmed by things like dams or erosion.

C is wrong because most of our energy comes from no renewable resources like fossil fuels (oil, coal, gasoline).

D is wrong because renewable resources can sometimes (but not all the time) be quite expensive to use. Hydroelectric energy requires extremely expensive dams, for instance, though wind power can sometimes be relatively inexpensive.

QUESTIONS Light absorption by a pigment is measured for red, green, blue, and yellow light. Light absorption is the independent
Pani-rosa [81]

Answer: In the proposed case, the light absorption is the variable to be understood - that is, the dependent and aimed observation - by exposing the pigment - the ready thing -, to the four picked color lights in a given experiment.

It can also be inferred about the other hidden concept in the question: controlled variables. Those are the different light colors, because there is choice and control of application of this parameter in the experiment. The pigment came ready, but the lights are chosen to test the light absorption.

Therefore, if the light absorption is the dependent, and the lights are the controlled, the pigment rests as the independent variable.

⇒The pigment is the independent variable, the light absorption is the dependent. (and the lights the controlled variable)
